# Supported formats and file requirements

**1. Image.** \
      Format: .png, .jpg/.jpeg. Max size: 1 MB.\
**2. Video.** \
      Format: .mp4, .webm. Max size: 10 MB.\
**3. 3D model.** \
     Format: .glb (gltf-binary). Max size: 4 MB.\
**4.**   **Audio.**\
       Format: .mp3. Max size: 2 MB.\
\
Use converters and compress files if your source files are not supported.\
For example, a file in gif format is not supported, but it can easily be converted to mp4 on third-party services, and our editor has a "like gif" feature that can be enabled for a video file.\
\
**Try to minimize the scene size as much as possible for faster loading. Remember that internet speed and device performance vary for everyone.** \
\
**Image requirements for tracking.**\
Good detail is required: rich texture or a large number of corners. The picture must match the printed one (the one onto which AR will be overlaid). It is not recommended to send images via social networks or save them as JPEG – details are lost and noise is added during conversion. Do not use images with a transparent background. \
Format: .png, .jpg/.jpeg. Max size: 20 MB.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.artar.es/project-creation/general-information-about-working-with-a-project/supported-formats-and-file-requirements.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
