**Four types of material are available in the editor:**\
\- flat – "plain background";\
\- standard – applies highlights and shadows to the image;\
\- chroma-key – used to remove a real green or blue background filmed on video;\
\- alpha – for removing a background created in a video editor. Perfectly removes a black background. Allows creating fire effects, preserves neon glow when removing the background, and is applicable for other effects.

*The scene with the removed background looks more spectacular.*

Background can be removed in images and videos.\
If an image background is not removed correctly, use an external online resource or editor.\
For example this one <https://www.remove.bg/ru>.

For background flat, chroma-key and alpha are available.

The alpha channel has fine adjustment. Use it if the object has artifacts or looks unrealistic after background removal.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.artar.es/project-creation/chroma-key-alpha-channel-materials..md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
